You all may know this tip already, but to me it's new and fabulous.   We just moved recently into our long-awaited, brand-spanking-new home and I want to keep it pristine (good luck!).  Everything is so beautiful, shiny, new, and lovely.  Lately I have been experimenting with cleansers for my, new, stainless appliances and I haven’t found any that love.

I’ve tried cleaners that cost about $5-7/each.  One smells nasty and leaves me with streaks.  Another is alright but it seems as though I have to work my butt off just to get a shine.  By the time I’ve finally finished I am usually left with a headache from the fumes.   To put it bluntly, I am not satisfied.  I want something better and, darn it, I deserve better.  So, I put myself on a quest…

I started off at Target with a simple 69 cent bottle of white vinegar.  The bottle says that vinegar can be used as a cleaner for multiple non porous surfaces.  Unlike my old clearers, I love the smell of vinegar; it brings me back to summer time when I would use it to relieve sun burns and to leave my skin with a nice cooling sensation.

Anyhow, here's what I did with this wonder liquid.  I poured about a silver dollar amount on a rag and cleaned my kitchen with ease: the stove top, faucet, stainless stove, stainless fridge, inside and outside my stainless microwave (glass and all), stainless trash can, and counter. It was just so easy.  There were no irritating streaks and no headaches.  I even used it on a mirror thinking that I would need to go over it with a paper towel at the end to get rid of streaks.  But, nope!  Ooh vinegar… I Love you! You are my new best friend (and a cheap date at that)!
