In an earlier blog I talked about dinner and a walk on the beach; but today’s daily money saving tip is more about some tips for the date itself.  I have recently come across the fact that something as simple as some flowers, a picnic, and a trip to your nearest fro-yo place (frozen yogurt) can turn what you thought to be another costly night/day into a cheap yet sophisticated date.

Let’s talk flowers.  Guys, you don’t have to buy a bouquet of flowers for over 20 dollars let alone 15.  Wholesale florists, Vons, and many other grocery stores have amazing sets of flowers for as low as $10.  P.S. flowers are a great way to start off any date.  What girl doesn’t appreciate a beautiful bouquet of flowers?!

Next comes the picnic - snacky foods are key.  Salami and crackers, fruits, veggies, bottle water,or an 89 cent thirst buster from Circle-K, along with a super cheap yet super delicious rotisserie chicken from Vons or Costco.

Find a nice place to lay out a blanket and your basket and enjoy your time together.
End the night with a trip to any local frozen yogurt place. The cheapest ice cream for the most quantity you will ever get with the option to load whatever your heart desires in that colorful cup.  Pile it up, mix and match, and find yourself with a delicious dessert for about 3 or 4 bucks.  That’s one more cheap and simple yet romantic date for you and your lady.
